About Tania Richard

Tania Richard taught in The Second City Training Center for ten years. She also performed with the Second City Main Stage, e.t.c. and touring company appearing with Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Horatio Sanz and Rachel Dratch. Her training of professionals includes work with The American Bar Association, IICLE, CPEC, The Herman Agency, Horwood, Marcus and Berk, Neal Gerber and Eisenberg, Northwestern University Law School, Joseph, Lichtenstein & Levinson, and Sheehan and Sheehan, P.A., among others. She has been a member of the Screen Actor’s Guild for over twenty years. She has appeared in numerous commercials for brands such as BMO Harris, Mc Donald’s, Ameritech and AARP as well as film and television roles. Tania teaches Acting Directing Workshop in Columbia College Chicago’s Cinema Art and Science Department. She has a B.A. in Theatre from Illinois State University. Her stage credits include Broadway, Steppenwolf Theatre, The Goodman Theatre and The Second City. She is exclusively represented by Stewart Talent.

Tania Richard is an Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Creative Consultant as well as published author, a teacher and actor. She is also the lead trainer and owner of Improv Delivery: Improvisation Training for Professionals. Her experience in Equity, Diversity and Inclusion includes work with AIG, CNA, The Jacobson Group, Columbia College Chicago, DePaul University, Steppenwolf Theatre and The Second City, among others. Her podcast "Race Bait" navigates difficult conversations around race by leading with kindness, humor and generosity of spirit (iTunes). Her video series "A Minute on Racism" captures individuals experiences with racism within a one minute time frame. Her writing on race and culture is featured on her blog "Writing My Mind” (Chicago Tribune) and her newsletter and live show Tania’s Take. Her commentary has been seen and heard on WTTW's Chicago Tonight, The Story and All Things Considered on NPR and Facebook Live for the Chicago Tribune. She has performed on Broadway and with Steppenwolf Theatre, The Goodman Theatre and The Second City, among others and has appeared in commercials, film and television.
